Compensation is paid by:

CASH
Paid at an hourly rate of $10 - $25 depending on the nature of the study
BACK-UP study participation is always paid in CASH

GIFT CARDS
Issued for online studies by the researcher conducting the study
Most GIFT CARDS are redeemed through your phone

STUDY POOL CREDIT
Harvard students enrolled in psychology courses that require research participation may earn Study Pool credit(s)
Credit may only be earned starting the first day of class until the end of the Study Pool period
Review your course syllibi for specific information from your course instructor on how credits are applied when taking more than one course.
 

COMPENSATION
If the study pays over $100 a "vendor account" must be set up to receive payment by check sent via U.S. mail

FOREIGN NATIONALS
If the study pays over $100 the employee or sponsored affilliate must complete additional paperword for eligibility and tax purposes
Foreign National receive payment by check sent via U.S. mail

Participating in studies for compensation does not make you an employee of the Harvard Psychology Department or Harvard University.
